05 / GEODORA
A museum begins
with curiosity.
GEODORA is Dorofeya Savintseva's private museum of geology and palaeontology.
Dorofeya is 16. This project is a space for her collection, independent work and questions about the history of Earth.
From discovery to understanding
At the heart of the museum is the connection between an object and its story. A beautiful ammonite or crystal deserves more than a display: where it was found, how it was identified, what we know and what remains to be discovered.
The collection, specimen work, expeditions and research form a continuous journey. A find raises a question. The question leads to study. New knowledge returns to the museum.
The name and the emblem
GEODORA brings together Earth and Dorofeya's name. The emblem combines an ammonite, mountains, geological layers and a hammer: the collection, the landscape and work in the field.
A future home
A possible next step is a physical museum in a former quarry. The vision is a home for the collection, a place to work with specimens and a way to discover geology through the landscape itself.
For now, this is a family ambition, not an operating venue. The location, schedule and visitor arrangements have yet to be decided.
The first version
This website illustrates what the museum could become. The demonstration specimens come from external sources and are not presented as Dorofeya's own finds. Her photographs, notes and discoveries will gradually give GEODORA its own content.
